Service Description

Anyone can rent a horse and ride along or walk along as we lead the children's horses down the trail. Whether you're looking to hop in the saddle or simply walk alongside as we guide your child's horse down the trail, horseback riding at Griffith Park is a fun and relaxing experience for all ages. No experience is needed — just come ready to enjoy the outdoors! For our youngest riders (under 3 years old), we require that they ride with a parent for safety. Each rider is priced individually. Please note that riders over 200 lbs are subject to a higher rate based on weight, to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for both rider and horse. Reservations & Walk-Ins Reserved rides are given priority, though the exact start time may vary slightly. Walk-ins are always welcome — and while there may be a short wait at times, we usually have horses available throughout the day. Pricing Walk-in (under 200 lbs): $30 cash/ $33 credit/debit card per rider under 200lbs Riders over 200 lbs: Priced on a sliding scale What to Bring We provide optional helmets, or feel free to bring your own bike helmet if you prefer. Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes are recommended. Tipping & Trail Guides Our trail guides work hard to make your ride enjoyable. Tipping is greatly appreciated — we suggest a minimum of $5 per rider. Please note for prepaid reserved rides, due to the costs of staffing and scheduling, we are unable to offer refunds or makeup rides for missed or late arrivals.
